You've heard us say it time and time again, one of the most important things to do when selling your home: stage it. Staging is known to sell homes faster and for a higher price. But, what do you do when you've got a tight budget? Here are some simple things you can do to stage your home if you need to save some money.

1. Paint Key Rooms

Don't paint the whole house if you're on a budget! Bathrooms and kitchens sell houses. And, they tend to have less wall space and more cabinetry, so you won't need a ton of paint.

2. Organize Your Pantry and Closets

It costs nothing to go in and do a good organize of key spaces. If you think homebuyers don't open closet doors and pantries you are incorrect, my friend! And get rid of clutter! If they look tidy and clean, potential buyers will be able to imagine their own stuff in the space.

3. Wipe Down Furnaces and Hot Water Tanks

Giving these a good clean gives off the impression that they are maintained. It's free to do and people will think your home has been well cared for.

4. Wash Your Windows

Let the light in! If you clean your windows, more light will come in. Natural light makes a room feel more spacious and welcoming.

5. Renovate On The Cheap

Swing by or shop online at Habitat for Humanity ReStore. They have renovation items, cabinets, hardware, appliances at an affordable price and all proceeds benefit the charity.

6. Clean Up Your Yard

Put some gardening gloves on, pull weeds, clean up dead leaves and mow your lawn. Your only investment is your time and it makes a huge difference for curb appeal for potential buyers.
