Are you looking for something to do for the upcoming Thanksgiving long weekend?

The weather for the upcoming weekend still looks nice out. We have checked out some outdoor events that are happening in and around the city for you to enjoy before the snow flies. Have a look at what we have found below. Happy Thanksgiving!

1. Pumpkins After Dark

Featuring over 6,000+ hand-carved pumpkins, witness the magic of pumpkins coming to life during this nighttime family-friendly walk-through experience. Our lit pumpkin sculptures and displays include everything from classic Halloween characters, dragons and dinosaurs, to movie and pop culture icons, there is something for everyone to enjoy!

2. Harvest Lights at Calgary Farmyard

Weekend evenings are a great way to enjoy the fun of the Farmyard in a casual and relaxed setting. All farm activities are open, and the entire farm is lit up in fantastic display (except the corn maze of course, which remains dark as an added challenge for visitors to find their way through with their flashlights.) Pumpkins are available for photos and purchase in the evening too!

3.Halloweekends at Calaway Park

Join the Boo Crew at Calaway Park this Fall! Stroll through Hallotown… if you dare! Is it scary? No, it’s friendly! It’s a spooktacular good time for the whole family! Dress up as your favorite family friendly character and enjoy a day of Fall fun!

4. Heritage Park

Explore Heritage Park under a canopy of warm fall colours, enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal, at the park or at home, and savour the sights and aromas of Thanksgiving on the prairies as traditional dishes are prepared in our historic homes. This is the final weekend the Historical Village is open for the season.

5. Spooktacular Mini Golf

CALLING ALL GHOULS AND GOBLINS! Dress up for family fun and play some mini-golf. Our spooktacular haunted mini-golf is back! Thursdays to Sundays from September 23 to October 31.
